They're Only Little for a Little While

They're Only Little for a Little While.jpg

He cries softly in the early morning.

I say baby come here, let's dance.

She cries Mommy, can you hold me?

I say baby, EVERY chance.

She draws pictures on the driveway,

He draws laughter with his grin.

I draw memories from every moment

Knowing I can't get this back again.

She sings sweetly Jesus Loves Me

He snuggles soundly on my chest.

Life can keep its fast-paced chaos,

This is where I find my rest.

'Cause, they're only little for a little while.

That baby face and that toothless smile

Will quickly fade as time turns the dial

'Cause, they're only little for a little while!
